Signet, I would hang on to your acorns! As others have said, you can use them to 'purchase' badges to go near your name. You can also use them to 'tip' people for posts that are particularly helpful. Occasionally, too, you can use them to purchase items. And, there ARE some prizes available to non-US citizens. And, you aren't too far across the border...there may be NGA members who might be willing to meet up with you to give your prize to you. (Many members on here are just awesome like that.
