I've had both the green and the silver dichondra. It's never gotten out of hand like that. I don't have daylilies so I'm not sure how they would be with dichondra all around. It might make a good living mulch and keep the weeds down. You could leave it in one small area as a test, and get rid of it in your other daylily beds.
