I'm from California originally. I remember my Mom and Aunt out on their hands and knees on the lawn trying to figure out how to make their dichondra live. It never got out of hand; it hardly survived. Dichondra used to be added to grass mixes as part of the blend. I know it's used as a ground cover but I'm not visualizing it crowding out something as vigorous as a daylily.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost
