Two things to think about:
1. Fresh Milkweed seed is best. Old seed doesn't germinate well. Make your contact for seeds now but wait until the new crop next fall to get them.
2. If you have not seen Monarchs in your area, planting milkweed will not bring them to your area. If you see them flitting by, then you can encourage them them to stop by planting Milkweed.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost
