I spent all day yesterday pulling various sprouts & digging up torpedo grass to garden in new & previously-gardened spots. Some spots I thought were clear last year from just pulling but they weren't. I hate this grass so much. I removed the "good plants" and excavated like I should have to begin with. Learned my lesson about not putting in the effort at the beginning to make sure a spot is clear before using, by either digging or smothering. Medicago is already blooming & dropping seeds.

On the upside, I ended up with about 4 5-gallon buckets of organic material.
The golden rule: Do to others only that which you would have done to you.
