Coarse sand is 0.5 to 1 mm according to Wikipedia

and paver sand is 0.5 to 2 mm according to Google ("paver sand size") which also makes it coarse.
So they should be pretty interchangeable. When in doubt pass the sand over a screen (like a window screen) to remove the fines.
