Region: Michigan Hydroponics Container Gardener Frugal Gardener Seed Starter Birds
The seeds are a pitch-black and don't have any type of groove in them. I'll keep giving it distilled water and see what happens, but someone brought up that it could be some type of venus flytrap?

The "hairs" are closer to spikes, at least as far as I can tell. I haven't tried touching them in case it is something poisonous.
