I'm sorry to hear about the losses. We had that bad freeze too, here in Southcentral PA. My garden didn't fare too badly, but I had to bring almost everything indoors to the house from the greenhouse for a few days. My hostas got blasted; the leaves look like they were cooked "boiled greens." I see some new growth coming up though. I'm really concerned about my Japanese maples. All the leaves were crisped right off and I'm not seeing anything coming back yet. Mother Nature will throw these curves once in a while. Just got to grin and bear it.
I am not "country" I am "landed gentry."
