I wouldn't remove the leaf for two reasons:
1). Its still alive and green so is benefitting the plant
2). You haven't heard back from the seller.
I had to repot my Macrophylla when I got it. In fact the only ones i haven't had to immediately repot were the ones from Flori-Culture.
