It sounds like they're justifying it by saying, "It only hurts the plants a little"
Why hurt them at all?
Will acrylic paint stick to aloe ? I fear it would be blotchy at best. Not aesthetic.
Why don't you stick to painting pots and not risk hurting plants?
Plant it and they will come.
