I've had good results by spraying plants with a strong stream of water from the hose. Once they fall off the plant, most of them won't be able to return. Several applications may be necessary to remove most of the hatchlings.

The other method I use is icky Hilarious! , but effective. I just run my closed finger and thumb up the stem of the plant - squishing as I go.
