Welcome! to the site!

I have a love/hate relationship with Fabian. I love the way they look, but hate how picky they are. The biggest problem is that they are usually big cuttings that are somewhat rooted, but not really enough to be grown in less than optimal conditions so they fail easily. Try to give it very 'greenhouse' conditions. Very bright (but not a lot of direct sun), very humid (you will need a humidifier), and fairly moist but not soggy soil.
Now the questions on care:
How often do you check the moisture?
How do you determine when to water?
How much water do you give it?
Does water come out of the bottom?
Does it ever sit in water?
Have you fertilized it? What have you used?
What direction does the window face?
Are the curtains open or closed?
Pinch the brown stems. If they are mushy you probably have lost the plant.
As I said, they're picky.
