Greetings! Long time lurker, first time poster. Wonderful community. I have a question about my monstera. I received a large monstera "cutting" that appears to be in excellent condition. It has four leaves and multiple nodes. It has four long aerial roots (9"+?) that have clearly been rooted in soil and tons of what appear to be subterranean roots attached to it. Did these aerials "convert" to subterranean? I could be totally wrong, but I feel that the plant will never thrive with only these roots. I feel that the plant needs to have "real" subterranean roots, which could/would develop from the healthy internode. Am I mistaken? Is there a way to encourage the internode/node to root without putting the plant at risk? Can the cutting grow into a full "normal" plant with only these aerial roots?
