Mary, that is funny about shapes! I've never given shapes a thought - ever! Mixing bloom times is a great idea though.

I said that I put tall in back and short in front, but I remembered this morning that some of my daylilies haven't lived up to their height expectations. So, it doesn't always work out where the tall ones are in the back.
