Event Date: Sep 1, 2018 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Fall is just around the corner and we are excited to get started with our cooler season vegetable gardens! We are also excited to help you guys be as successful as possible when planting these veggie gardens.
But this season, we are going to try something a little different. Instead of our traditional class format held at our Potting Bar, we are going to be introducing our new format--Garden Talks. This "class" will be a little bit more interactive and will involve the attendees walking around the garden shop with our manager Josh (or whomever is teaching the class on that day), and actually seeing the plants, amendments, and soils that we are discussing in class. We will be doing live demonstrations of planting techniques and giving you the full gardening experience in the hopes that you can take home the knowledge and skills you need to recreate this in your own homes and gardens
Our first class will be held on Saturday, September 1 at 10:30 am. In this class, Fall Vegetable Gardening Josh Addison will cover everything you need to know to get you your beds prepared and planted. He will discuss soil amendments, soils for raised bed and container gardens, the importance of mycorrhizal fungi and composting. Josh will point out some of his favorite vegetable varieties, show you the veggie "troughs" in the store, and do some seed planting during the class. Last but not least, he will talk about fertilization, mulching and general maintenance for your fall garden.

Redenta's is a great place to learn and to shop. I just received this email today announcing their classes. I usually don't like to post any workshops / classes with a short lead time but decided to make an exception for Redenta's. They are one of my favorite nurseries and also the home of the sweetest store cats, Fig and Bay. |
