This time of year I feel as if I sort of run out of "oomph" I look around and there's loads i could be doing (the to do list is still longer than my arm), but I just give a mental shrug and go do something in the office. This truly ugly weather does not help; heavy overcast for 2 days without any rain for over 2 weeks. Everything is dead, dry, gray and ugly. Even watered areas look ragged.
It also occurred to me the other day that one other reason for my blahs is that ...wow...in the past 12 months I have lost 6 cats to illness and accidents and had another cat involved in a serious accident (Smokey the now-tailless wonder cat). No wonder I feel a bit wrung out...
I'm sending out a couple of small projects today and then I think I might just try to take the day off from office work and get something else done....maybe do some much needed deadheading and cutting back of iris, etc. At least it's not quite so hot lately, just very humid (and yet dry....)
