I feel your loss extra deeply today
Yesterday we buried Phoebe , a much loved part of our family
she has been my avatar here at ATP




I am not sure why, but some things just don't get easier, no matter my age or how many times I have had to experience letting go.

Oh Cinda, I'm so very sorry. I agree...it never gets easier. We had our Tucker for 15 years and he was such a big part of my day... I am still grieving for him. I've lost a total of 6 cats in the past 12 months and it has been awful. I feel as if all I did this past year was dig little graves. We've always taken in the "cast aways" so we end up with old cats, disabled cats, ill cats and you have to be prepared to face a shortened life span and health issues, etc. But it never gets easier. Please take comfort in the fact that you gave your Phoebe a wonderful life and she got to experience love with you...that's something death cannot take away.

Every time I loose an animal I wonder if the pain of loss is worth it, then a cat curls up on my lap or the dog gives me the ''brown dog eyes look'' and makes me understand better.
