Hot Weather Again, but Some Oleander Blooms.
Posted on May 26, 2020 11:28 AM

Well, once again we have hot weather.
Lol after all that complaining of mine about the rain, I'm now complaining about the hot weather.
It's been 100 degrees! I actually like the cold weather better lol.
It's nice for my oleanders though! They finally bloomed!
I was just taking a walk around my yard this morning and saw LOTS of oleander blooms ('red cardinal', 'hardy white', 'Calypso').

Here are some pictures:

Lol, maybe not just some pictures, but you get the idea: OUR OLEANDERS HAVE BLOOMED!

Wildflower List (of 20) #4
Posted on May 22, 2020 6:19 PM

I like to make lists, but particularly wildflower lists. Every so often I'll post one, and the number of wildflowers in the list can vary. But whatever the number, you can rest assured that there will at least 3 of them in the list that you didn't know about before! Sometimes I can have some of the more common wildflowers in my list, but I mainly put some of the more rare wildflowers in the lists, or, in other words, the wildflowers that most gardener's don't think twice about. Enjoy the lists, and if you want to read the older ones, then click on the links below:

And now we have a new wildflower list! On with the list!
(This list is not arranged in any specific order.)

Beautiful Foliage List
Posted on May 21, 2020 11:31 AM

Hello everyone! Just wanted to make a list of ten foliage plants that I think are very beautiful.

Here is the list:
#1: Coleus (Coleus scutellarioides ColorBlaze® Dipt in Wine)

Note: all of you probably already know coleus, but this one is definitely very pretty to me. (And many more, as you will see more in the list)

#2: Coleus (Coleus scutellarioides 'Gay's Delight')

Note: this coleus has a lot of different shades of yellow and green, which I really like.

#3: Coleus (Coleus scutellarioides 'Inky Fingers')

Note: this one really just screams out to the eye.

#4: Italian Arum (Arum italicum)

Note: I really like the patterns in this plant. It reminds me of some shells I used to find at our vacation spot on the beach.

#5: Hosta 'June'

Note: I just really like the blue-tipped leaves on this hosta.

#6: Hosta 'Whirlwind'

Note: a truly beautiful hosta. I really like the pointed tips on the leaves as well.

#7: Coleus (Coleus scutellarioides Stained Glassworks™ Trailing Plum)

Note: When in a bunch, this coleus just really adds a "zing" to your garden.

#8: Coleus (Coleus scutellarioides 'Wild Lime')

Note: reminds me of a very pretty lettuce.

#9: Hosta 'Dream Queen'

Note: in addition to its beautiful foliage, its flowers are quite pretty as well.

#10: Hosta 'Dream Weaver'

Note: the flowers on this hosta are quite similar to the "hosta dream queen", but I like that the foliage on this hosta is slightly darker.

Thanks everyone for reading my list, and if you spot any errors, please tell me!
Until next time, stay safe and happy gardening! Thumbs up
