Hello everyone! I just wanted to share with everyone the vacation spot we used to go to every year. The reason why I am saying good-bye to the "vaca" spot is that we are moving as soon as we can, out of CA. It makes me real sad because of all the memories we've had there, since my second child. I wanted to share with you guys a couple of photos:
We would find TONS of hermit crabs, a couple of fish heads 😬😬, huge amounts of beautiful shells and other beautiful things (like rocks) from the ocean, enjoy the view, hang out, my kids would play games on the rocks, but it's all gone, except for the memories, which are the most important. And, we have lots of photos to remember it by. Please wish us luck when we move!
And our whole family is hoping we find a vacation spot as good as this one when we move!
So a funny thing happened to me the other day when I posted my pictures of Common Fiddleneck (Amsinckia intermedia) haha. Here it is:
Lately, big huge carpenter bees have been flying around on my Common Fiddleneck, so whenever I try to take pictures of the common Fiddleneck, I get scared away by the bees LOL.
Yesterday, I was going to take more pictures, so I headed the way of the Fiddleneck.
First, I scouted the area. Then once I realized that there were no bees around, I calmly strode to a tall Fiddleneck plant.
All of the sudden, I froze! From RIGHT behind me I heard: BUZZZZZZZZ. Fearfully, I looked behind, and my worst fears were confirmed!
The hugest and biggest yellow and black carpenter bee was coming right towards me (to me it looked like 200 feet wide 😂)!
I took my picture real brave-like and quick-like, before the bee reached me.
Then, as soon as I pressed the picture button, I ran willy-nelly and pell-mell across the whole grove!
The bee finally caught up to me, and, after circling around my head a couple of times, realized that pollinating, oh GLORIOUS pollinating, was WAY more important than me!
How relieved was I that the flower pollinator had left me to do his job.
Bees usually don't mean you any harm, but I still will be scared as "goodness knows" whenever they come around! The only bee-like insects that you have to really worry about are WASPS, which I will tell you a story about in a later (or the next) blog...
Hello fellow gardeners! "What is the purpose of your Your Daily Garden BLOG?" Some of you may ask. Well, here it is: (it's really quite simple)
My main goal is to bring back beautiful pictures of the past that people may have never seen or forgotten about. Sometimes I'll see photos that are pretty or cool that don't have many likes, so I will put them in my blog so that people will see them and like them, hopefully.
"Your Daily Garden BLOG" articles never come out on:
Sundays
Some Saturdays
Happy Gardening! 😃
Your Daily Garden BLOG. Bringing back pictures of the past!
Hello everyone! This particular article is specifically for Dahlias, so there will be no pictures but dahlias on here (except for the "Pictures of The Day" section). Please enjoy, and if you like the article, then give it a thumbs up!
Hello everyone! I just saw that everyone's pets were saying "hi!" so I decided to let my pets say hi! Here they are:
Rusty says hi!
Let me just stretch real quick!
Hello everyone! Meow!
Don't worry, just because I'm lying down doesn't mean I'm not watching you!
Want to know why we call her Honey? Take a look at the "honey" splotch on her forehead!
P.S. give Honey special greetings because the poor thing is in heat and just meowing and trilling mercilessly! 😢
