Evermorelawnless' Preamble
If you don't know by now, Dirtdolphins and I are we-ness. She gardens and thinks and I tear up lawn and sweat - and we both take lots and lots of pictures. Sometimes she even lets me use her camera - and I let her use my lenses. Works well for us.
She's noted in the past, often with some vigor, that I take a LOT of photos but don't post many of them to the site. This is true. Part of the reason is that I don't know what the heck it is I'm shooting. Yes, I can tell a daffy from an iris from a chlamydia (is that clematis??) from a rose - but they all smell as sweet (as it were). Therefore, I have no idea where to post what I shoot - nor am I really all that good at discussions about specific plants in specific threads. So I don't post much.
So she suggested that we get a blog in which I could spam the world indiscriminately...and she could post whatever she wanted, thematically.
If you can positively ID what I've posted and want to toss it into the database, feel free. I'm getting better at this plant ID stuff as it goes, but I'm still a good bit more interested in the effect and the scene and the beauty than I am in being pedantically taxonomically precise.
I'm also interested in developing my photographic skills on all fronts. So if you've got critiques or criticisms or tips or whatever, please share them with me. I've got really thick skin and I'm interested in improving.
So I'll fill this thing with walls of photos from time to time. You can like 'em or not.
