Winter sowing January 2021. Winter Sowed on 1-2-2021. New seed from DnD Seed exchange.

Notes: Press into soil and barely cover. Needs cold and light to germinate. May have slow germination: When warmth arrives, germination usually within 4 weeks.

Might try heat mats to speed along, pending research.

January 2, 2021: Obtained plant (Winter Sowed on 1-2-2021. New seed from DnD Seed exchange. See notes for sowing.)
April 5, 2021: Seeds germinated (Sprouted in WS container.)
June 21, 2021: Potted up (Transplanted from WS container. )
June 5, 2022: Transplanted (Transplanted from overwintered large pots (kept in plant teepee outdoors.) Transplanted 3 large plants and three smaller ones into full sun mailbox garden. )
July 18, 2022: Bloomed (Two plants now have lovely silvery blue seed heads in the mailbox garden. This is the second year of winter sown perennials grow from seed. Looking forward to how they overwinter and spread.)
June 22, 2023: Bloomed (Three plants with mature seed heads doing well. Mailbox garden. )
