One source says that this is tasty, and therefore (I assume) edible. http://rslandscapedesign.blogs... says of this species, "A dense, compact ( for a Grape ) vine that is native to high mountains in Veracruz state in Mexico where it is very rare. The very attractive glossy foliage is bronze at first, turning to bright green. The profuse, fragrant, bright greenish-yellow flowers are borne during late spring. Hardy zones 8 to 10, it is recommended for maritime climates as well as tropical and mild temperate highlands." It is not generally troubled by pests. |
