brilliant color and blooms always open well
pod difficult but set one pod in 2016
wish it had better budcount and branching;
did poorly in 2020 with no bloom, possibly due to irrigation spray blockage by potted OKTOBERFEST

Taller than registered height here, at average 22.5" or more
Sometimes will have late summer or early fall rebloom, but this is not consistent
Narrow foliage; seems to have some degree of rust resistance;
this one is a probable keep forever, but it doesn't really go well with the rounder form daylilies, so it should be moved somewhere else

EMO; good rust resistance; possible CMO;
two periods of bloom, in May and again in the fall

low bud count per scape; transmits this trait to offspring

Generally in bloom in Silicon Valley from last week in May, until sometime the first week in July;

Difficult to set pods on, but can sometimes manage it the last bloom or two;

Old plant obtained from the Adams.
Possibly a CMO/EMO.
Narrow sepals which tend to cup; surface pigment prone to insect damage.
can stand to part with this one
Some susceptibility to rust on lower leaves.
Best feature arguably is a narrow gilt edge on the flower. Foliage very narrow.

Divided in Fall of 2015; repotted
Low % of poly blooms
Somewhat pod difficult but not impossible, and potentially useful for poly breeding;
Color is not bad and somewhat more sun resistant than many reds, and blooms always open well;

Side yard entry bed location, fall 2015

Some rust in summer of 2016, but seems to come back clean the following year, provided there are no rust buckets around to re-infect;

Good for a dependable (no rebloom) 4-5 weeks of bloom; large diamond dusted slightly fragrant blooms always open well and are always welcome, so this is a probable keep forever plant;

From Sacramento area nursery (Bushnell Gardens Nursery?); observed many polymerous blooms there but they are very rare here (< 1%). Although the blooms have an older form (no edging, not round or highly ruffled) the daylily is worth keeping as it begins bloom earlier than most of my daylilies, has taller scapes, and the blooms reliably open well. (Being up against the house may or may not have something to do with that.) This daylily looks very good close-planted with Penstemon 'Garnet'.

fairly consistent flowers that always open well, and some rebloom;
LFO mid August;

this is a beauty, keep forever
