Goatsbeard (Aruncus) |
Have New plants and seeds Perennials Pollinators, Natives, Wildflowers Winter Garden |
Obtained seed from Jan. 2022 seed swap. New to me in 2022. Goatsbeard plants like part shade, moisture and need shelter from the hot afternoon sun. In the northern range of their hardiness, they can take full sun; however, they will require consistently moist soil and will likely burn during any sort of drought. Spent flower stalks can be left on the plants through the winter for visual interest, but should be cut back before new foliage emerges. |
February 1, 2022: Seeds sown (Winter sown. Needs light to germinate. Protect from afternoon sun. ) May 28, 2022: Plant Ended (Removed, Died, Discarded, etc) (Did not germinate. Will try again using Swallowtail or other similar purchased seed. This seed was from a seed swap and may not have been viable.) |
