Sedge (Carex oshimensis EverColor® Everest) |
Have Z5 Grasses |
2019: Z5 garage side. | ||
Snow-In-Summer (Cerastium tomentosum 'Columnae') |
Have Z5 |
These were at the corner of the garage but couldn't compete with grass trying to move in. Became overrun with sod. 2019: I am moving them to in front of the wagon and added 4 more plants.
Sawara Cypress (Chamaecyparis pisifera) |
Have Z5 |
By the flowering almond. Need to figure out cult. |
||
Mum (Chrysanthemum 'Matchsticks') |
Have Z5 |
2020: Z5. BR from Gilbert Wild. Along the big curve. Not looking that promising.
Coreopsis Li'l Bang™ Darling Clementine |
Have Z5 |
|||
Tickseed (Coreopsis verticillata Sizzle & Spice® Red Hot Vanilla) |
Have Z5 |
2020: BR from Gilbert Wild. Garage side in front of peony.
Crocosmia 'Lucifer' |
Have Z5 |
Z5: I had this for years. It was taking over the garden. I gave it away to everyone. I don't know if there is any left at all. I've even replanted it and it just doesn't want to be here anymore. 2021: I got another sack of them from Van B. I keep trying. Oopsy. It's August and I forgot to plant these. I'll probably throw them in the ground anyway, but don't have high hopes. Dang. |
||
Crocus |
Have Z5 |
Under spirea by steps | ||
Snow Crocus (Crocus chrysanthus 'Orange Monarch') |
Have Z5 |
On the garage side under the spirea. Not very impressive - tiny.
Autumn Crocus (Crocus speciosus 'Conqueror') |
Have Z5 |
Under spirea by steps. There is also a spring crocus here. |
||
Cinquefoil (Dasiphora fruticosa 'Pink Beauty') |
Have Z5 |
|||
Delphiniums (Delphinium) |
Have Z5 |
Not sure which ones these are. They are greatly diminished and need to be replaced. I did have some 'Belladonna' here as well, but I don't know what is remaining.
Purple Spurge (Euphorbia dulcis 'Chameleon') |
Have Z5 |
2022: Not robust, but these things come back every year. 2004: I planted this somewhere in this garden. Not 100% sure this is what is here under the kitchen window, but it seems the most likely. The other choice was 'Redwing' which is only hardy to z6. (planted in 07 somewhere in this garden) Maybe I planted both of them here for all I know. |
||
Cushion Spurge (Euphorbia epithymoides) |
Have Corner Z5 |
This stuff does really well here. I love the jolly yellow in the spring, and it seems to be wanting to spread in the Z5 garden.
Gopher Spurge (Euphorbia lathyris) |
Have Z5 |
|||
Donkey Tail (Euphorbia myrsinites) |
Have Z5 |
It's not 100% gone, but I've got this under control in the rock garden. Just keep pulling up the little ones as they appear. I'm leaving it across the walk, but cutting it back as it tries to go everywhere.
Euphorbia (Euphorbia x martini 'Ascot Rainbow') |
Have Greenhouse Z5 |
Z5: 2021: I think it might be gone 2018: Planted 1 between hydrangea and peony. GH: 2022: Planted 1 in GH south side, where the germander was. I was worried it wouldn't get enough water, but it's doing just fine. |
||
Bronze Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare 'Purpureum') |
Have Z5 |
I plant this every couple years. Sometimes it comes back, sometimes it doesn't. Easy to start from seed and smells great!
Blanket Flower (Gaillardia aristata) |
Have Z5 |
2019: From seed 4 or 5 plants along the garage.
Daylilies (Hemerocallis) |
Have Z5 |
Yellow under almond. Robust, heavy bloomer. NOID |
