lauribob's Plant List

A note from lauribob
I am not interested in selling or trading live plants. I do save seeds once in awhile and would be willing to trade those.

2013: Planted
So far this is a very low shrub. I don't think mine has had a second bloom yet.

Corner:1 hasn't ever bloomed, could be yellow or from Jody? (#1)
2022: I decided that the white one is actually Primrose. I looked at other pictures and they're just white lilacs with yellow buds. That sounds like mine and that's where I thought I planted it to begin with, so I'm going with it. The unknown one still hasn't bloomed and I'm pretty sure it came from Jody.
FB: 2 Have never bloomed - planted Mont Blanc & Charles Joly.
2022: There are 2 out there and 1 is blooming for the first time this year. It's purple. Not sure yet if it's Charles Joly or not.

2004: Planted behind the wheelbarrow. It took at least 10 years to bloom, but it is beautiful and very fragrant. It is, however, not yellow. It does have yellow buds, but I thought this was something else because of the white blooms. I see that I am not alone in being slightly disappointed about the color.

- So many blossoms that deadheading is impossible.

Weeds
Native. Pretty aggressive. I'm trying to get these gone from all the flowerbeds, but it's a battle. At least they pull fairly easy.
Aspen
I've decided to let these be here because I'm tired of fighting with them. I would like to keep them away from the driveway a bit though. I don't mind them too much, except they just won't give it a rest and they look real ratty after they bloom unless I go deadhead them all. Also I don't like the smell of the foliage.

Corner:
2020: The deer were chowing down on this thing so bad that I had to put it in a cage. It was drawing them in to where they were eating everything in this corner. I dug it up and gave it to Deb.
2016: Planted behind the irises - 1 gal potted plant. Soft needles, nice shape.

2022: This was a hardy little shrub that stuck it out for many years. It got overcome by a voracious bunch grass and I couldn't get it free of it, so I dug it up and threw it over the bank.

This stuff turns up everywhere! I don't mind it in the Aspen garden - it smells good and makes a nice groundcover if there's nothing else competing with it that I like better. I like it in the lawn as well. I wish I could get it out of the rock garden where it covers everything up, including the rocks.

Weeds
This is the bane of my existence. Every year we have more of it, and it's beginning to show up in my gardens. I'm so allergic.
