I have acquired two T. ionantha that I believe are native to Guatemala. They may be from Mexico but it's hard to determine which one at this point. I will have to wait till I see the flowers they produce to make sure. Jan 1 and Jan 3, 2019 |

Culturing: Do not submerge this species in water or let them remain wet for any length of time. It likes to be misted lightly daily in a drier climate if there isn't sufficient dew in the morning or a mid level of humidity. It needs to dry rather quickly so a light to medium mist is sufficient. They require more light than other species due to so much of it being reflected. Direct sunlight in window settings are appropriate for Tectorum. | January 19, 2019: Obtained plant | |
