I LOVE this old Austin!!! Part Rugosa that will sometimes throw out some long thorny canes but what a unique fragrance! Someone described it as "Ponds Cold Cream."
Its a must have beauty if you can find it.

Utterly amazing huge, cabbage blossoms! Huge fountain shaped bush with flexible easy to train branches. A once bloomer but I would not be without this heavenly wonder! Amazing fragrance, cane hardy in Z5 and very easy to grow rose. Not fussy at all.

This could have been the rose that guarded Sleeping Beauty's castle, the thorns are horrendous.

Many glowing reports from around the country that this rose is extremely hardy and disease resistant.

This is now one of my favorite plants!

From my first year observations: It needs no special care, no extra water, is bug and disease free, and to top it all off -- it never seems to have an *off* day. The new flowers are borne above the old, so as the earlier blooms fade and begin to set seed, they're covered and hidden by the upper new growth. They need no dead-heading for beauty's sake. I've not even seen a brown leaf. How does it do it?

Definitely a *thumbs-up* in my gardens!

These plants "walk" or travel by producing plantlets on the flower stems after the flower dies. The little plantlets can be easily broken off and potted up to make new plants or you can just do as I do, which is to bend the stalk down to the ground and place a brick or rock on it to anchor it down. The plantlets will send roots into the soil. They will do this on their own when the plantlets grow large and heavy enough to make the stalk lie on the ground.

Just a lovely small tree. It blooms off & on all year long. This tree is never still or silent. The bees are always humming in its flowers and butterflies dancing from branch to branch providing constant movement even on the most still of days. Good xeri plant and excellent accent tree. Terrific for small yards or limited spaces. Will take a hit from unseasonable winters so it's best to place it in a protected location.

I am very thankful to the wonderful friends who introduced me to this wonderful vine. I love the flowers, fruit, and best of all the butterfies.

This plant is a Tx. Native and grows very well here with little care. It is a host plant for the Gulf Fritillary Butterfly.

In the herbal realms it is used to help treat anxiety, back pain, insomnia, and IBS.

Faded badly last year in a lot of sun. Color was much nicer this year with more shade than sun.

This plant grows for me here in Fountain, Fl. It comes back if left outside in a pot over the winter. Butterflies go for it, as do the hummers.
