[ Lily (Lilium 'Champagne') | Posted on October 13, 2011 ]

A magnificent lily.
"Champagne is slightly fertile and with Zeus as her pollen parent she has some Pink Tiger in her background giving her a good fragrance, not as strong as the Trumpets or Orientals, but much stronger than the LA hybrids. She has exquisite buff petals, with pink, peach and yellow tones, a dark pink-red reverse and a high bud count. Blooms are outfacing with an upward tilt." (Buggy Crazy).

[ Lily (Lilium 'Awesome') | Posted on October 10, 2011 ]

The name designation sums it all up - Awesome.
An interdivisional hybrid Aurelian Lily with downfacing flared flowers. Very fragrant, very vigorous.
" The ancestry consists of various Aurelian species and cultivars and L. speciosum, L. japonicum and L. rubellum in the Oriental division." From Buggy Crazy.
Ranks, in my humble estimation, as one of my 'most favorite 5' top lilies.
