I moved to Yakima, WA, in the early spring, and this plant came up on the east side of the house! It had five blooms, and one has gone to seed. The house has stood empty for years and years. The plant is jammed up against the foundation, lost between a huge rose and a beautybush.....and yet these guys are so happy! I have friends who want a culm, so will dig them---or some of them---this fall.
