Very invasive in my climate. A large stand of it came with the house. We tried to get rid of it but couldn't remove every molecule and it has grown back and even spread. I don't know whether it was vinca or lack or water that killed off the irises that were planted in the vinca bed.

Nice groundcover for shrubs, will grow into them for added depth, and I have not noticed that this compromises the shrubs at all. It is a very jolly (read: invasive) plant, but is easy to pull where not wanted. Great for alleys as it needs little care. Blooms for a long time (5 plus months for me), which is another bonus. I even have this growing inside my barn, through the cracks of the boards, which is not an unwelcome look.
