Kousa Dogwoods are pretty, but do not plant them if you are trying to attract native birds. The birds do NOT eat the seeds of Kousa Dogwoods! Since the Kousa is native to China & Japan, the seeds are called "monkeyseeds." Our (USA) native birds won't eat the seeds.
