American Freedom blooms non-stop here, producing as many as 20 blooms/day on 3 fans. Color holds up well in high heat and humidity, and no melting blooms. Color has never been as vibrant as hybridizer's photo and it's nocturnal here in 7A.

This daylily has performed very well for me, and is always stunning! I originally grew it in zone 5a, where it did fantastic. I moved it to zone 7a, and it has done just as well. It always seems to have beautiful blooms, no matter what. The color holds up extremely well in the heat, too, which is a big plus! It looks as good at the end of a 110 degree day as it did at the beginning of the day. I really love it, and the color is amazing!

The first flower open was so pretty. The color is stunning.

After about 20 blooms, I feel I can say that this plant always seems to have an awkward petal that is larger or smaller than the other two. Not to any great extent, but just enough to affect the symmetry of the bloom so that it looks "off."
