I do love hotly colored daylilies and that would describe August Flame. Red with a touch of orange on this colorful flower. A simple flower form, August Flame is an early late bloomer in my garden.

Wonderful plant for late season color. Very bright and bold. Stands out well. Very vigorous with great increase here in zone 6b Massachusetts garden.

Purchased from Plant Delights Nursery in July of 2014, and has been performing magnificently since.

Plant has always been in a 5 gallon pot in my Zone 7b garden. It has shown great increase, from a few fans into a BIG clump.

In 2019, it bloomed from July 9 through Halloween. It truly showed its status as a bud-builder, and its glowing flowers were noticeable from the street 2 lots away. This is a fantastic plant!
