This is a new cultivar that was bred by the well-known woody plant instructor of Dr. Michael Dirr in 2008. It was patented in 2010. It bears deep pink flowers that are all or mostly the showy infertile florets in a hortensia type of cluster. It is supposed to hold a deeper pink color than the similar 'Invincible' cultivar and to have stronger stems that hold the big flower clusters upright and not flop over.
