    This particular grex has three registrations in the RHS register:

    • Lowio-grandiflorum -- currently the preferred name; registered with Cym. grandiflorum as the pollen parent instead of the accepted Cym. hookerianum
    • Sedenii -- probably the original name for the cross
    • Sedeni -- registered as the inverse cross

    In Victoria, Australia, this grex is often mislabelled as one of its parents, the species Low's Cymbidium (Cymbidium lowianum). I have seen two such mislabellings in the past year. The plant seems to be relatively common in older collections as well.
