Hybridized by Peter Catt at the Liss Forest Nursery in Hampshire, England, and introduced in the US by Plant Haven. A hybrid that is a cross between two Asian species, Caryopteris incana and C. mongholica. Cut back in early spring to within 6 inches to keep its growth compact and vigorous. If a branch touches the ground, it will sprout new roots.
