Happy New Year to all of you! We had 8 inches of snow a few days ago, and it's been so cold it hasn't melted. Now we're due more snow tonight and all through tomorrow. Sigh. I hope the semps are happy under their snow cover.
It is very rugged where we are. Here is a live cam of our little town, and if you click on the other W Mountain Cam, you can see what it looks like outside of town. When the camera goes to the far right, we are just up above, out of camera range. http://livefromsilver.com/
Name: Marilyn Greenwood Village, CO (Zone 5b) Garden today. Clean next week.
Happy New Year to all my Garden.org friends. Julia I clicked on your Pippin accidentally or surreptitiously and was awed.
With my 20 below wind chills last night I am praying my few surviving semps are OK out there under about 3 inches of snow. They are covered by a large plastic box up on planters. The sun is out and everything is sparkling. We should have weather close to 60 by weeks end. And so it goes here.
If they survive, I will post pictures in May when it is finally safe to believe the frigid weather chances have passed.
Hoping for many pictures of all your wonderful plants. I enjoy your successes vicariously through the window of this forum.
So far 2019 is being good to me. I took a spill jogging through the woods with my boy in October. My shoulder took the brunt of the fall and my doctor was pretty sure I tore my rotator cuff. I just got the results of the MRI and no tears! He said it is tendentious and I gave me some exercises. I was so relieved to hear I didn't need surgery!

Angelo & Karen, snow is good. I'm beginning to think we may not get any this year.
Wow, Jesse you may be outdoing us in the PNW for rain. Your 'Silver Jubilee' is really looking pretty good with all that rain. Love the great amounts of gravel.
I have been making note of differences in heuffelii. These two photos show how some have very little leaf die back, and others have an over abundance.
