If you know what your two images are, I'd like to move them into the plant database since they aren't landscape shots.

It certainly reminds me of my Premna microphylla but I can't say for sure. Mine has woody type stems and branches but I'll check in the spring to see what new growth looks like. One sure sign is a musky, stinky odor if the foliage is disturbed. Hence, common names Musk Maple, Stinky Maple but of course it is NOT a true maple. It produces clusters of little white flowers followed by small black berries. Grows in tropical and subtropical regions including Indonesia and is popular for bonsai due to how well it responds to pruning and miniaturizing.

Thanks Connie, there is some resemblance. (love you avatar by the way!)

Maybe we can toss the photo up on the Plant ID forum for some additional input.

That's a good idea, Sue. I would say the provenance is important too (Indonesia, presumably).

My new avatar is a photo of an original painting by the hubby of one of our members here (webesemps). You would think that I commissioned it, lol. Anyway, it now hangs in my living room and I do love it!

I agree it is beautiful.
