Yesterday I watched Salem Witch Trials from 2002...it was long but very good!

Maybe ask Dave if there is any way to transfer posts made in 2019 from the previous thread?

IMDB is the first and usually, only place I go for movie reviews. We agree a lot of the time. Just now I checked out their top 250 list. Had not done so for a while. Just lead my attention to 3 movies I had not heard of so far. Good. I guessed the top movies did not change much but I was wrong. Check it out often yourself.

One you might have missed that I just enjoyed: Cellular, 2004, IMDB 6.5. Jason Statham, William Macy, Kim Basinger, Nina Simone - Oh, Sinnerman.

The Kid Who Would Be King, nice movie perfect for the age group 7-14 and those who still want to believe. A little difficult at times to understand some of the dialog due to the accents, overall a very nice movie with a great message 5 out 5 shovels.

The one real good thing about watching movies at home, you can usually turn on the captions and in some movies nowadays you really need to.

Sat. has become as close to a TV regiment a I have had in thirty years.
Turn on a PBS channel in the morning and continue to watch that same channel and shows every Saturday.
Fascinating.

Watching a 60's TV show, Danger Man and they used the word: transistorized. I will bet that is not a word you hear much these days.

Were you around when that show was on network TV as Secret Agent with the Johnny Rivers song rather than the original?

I might have mentioned this forgotten (?) gem before but, hey. Winter survival may not be a hot topic just now I agree. Island in the Sky, 1953, IMDB 7.0. I have always been a fan of Lloyd Nolan, Andy Devine, James Arness and John Wayne.

Please excuse me ahead of time. This post will make my keyboard wet. I have a huge collection of movies, TV shows and music. My all time favorite video which I just watched again for the 40th (?) time is a BBC production. Surprise? Summertime. The most covered song of all time. They say 25K versions exist. Enthralling is probably my best description. Mentioned and/or heard from: Charlie Parker, Billy Holiday, The Zombies, Chet Baker, John Coltrane, Bil Evans Trio, Art Pepper, Miles Davis, Mahalia Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, Julie London, Big Brother and Janis Joplin, Bach, Robert Crumb, Albert Alyer, B. B. Seaton, Amit Chrandhuri, Angelique Kidjo. About an hour long. If you cannot find your own copy I can mail you one. MUST WATCH !!

I just checked. I have over 130 versions of Summertime. So interesting to hear how different performers can treat the same song. Send me a tree mail if you want copies.

Last night I watched a bunch of Maine Cabin Masters shows on DIY Network. The crew renovates old camp type places in Main mostly on Islands. Lots of places with no electrically. Talk about rustic. But they do a really great job.

The crew is a big wacky but the places turn out so nice when they are finished. They never destroy the charm of a place by making it ultra modern!!
