Also, please tell me about the 2019 photo contest. When can I enter this?

You add photos to the database and the most popular member voted photos of the week are highlighted in the newsletter.
Under the Community tab in the menu bar, you can find the Banner Forum which has instructions for creating a banner.
The Photo Contest will be announced in the fall on the Home page and also by newsletter.

This is a digital photo of my award winning Diamond Eyes Rose. The photo has been published and is on the American Rose Society 2019 Wall Calendar. Diamond Eyes is one of four minor rose photos on the July, 2019, calendar page.

You've added your photo to the database, but you added it as a landscape photo instead of adding it to the 'Diamond Eyes' entry. I'd like to move it to that entry for you, but you've added a comment to the landscape photo to say the photo is "an error." I'm not sure how to help you. Is it not a photo of 'Diamond Eyes'?

I've already moved your landscape photo of 'Julia Child' to the 'Julia Child' entry.

To find the correct database entry, click on Plant Database jn the menu bar above and then enter rose name in the search box.

@zuzu, the original poster isn't responding. Could you please move his Diamond Eye photo from the landscape to the database? It is a photo of a Diamond Eye rose. Allowing it to stay in the landscape section does nothing but encourage people to keep posting the wrong types of photos there.

Let's giive the photo owner some time to respond, Bleu. It hasn't even been 24 hours since his last post. I can see that the photo resembles 'Diamond Eyes' but I want to know what the "error" was.

But, couldn't we learn about the "error" afterward? It's a photo of a bloom, regardless, which does not belong in the landscape section.

I am quite confused about photo submissions and correct documentation. The two rose photos are my first submissions as a new member. I appreciate the seven responders.

The purple rose is the Diamond Eyes that is now on the American Rose Society Wall Calendar for 2019.

I will spend more time on the Home Page this evening to correct any errors and to insure accuracy.

Sorry about the error and I can understand the concern that my incorrect posting of Diamond Eyes Rose could encourage
people to also add rose pictures incorrectly.

Please move the Diamond Eye Rose to the correct category in the Data Base.
And thanks for your help. I'm on a learning curve, and very excited about submitting additional roses later today.

Michael, you added the rose photos from the Home Page to the Landscape feature rather than finding the database entry in the Plant Database. The Landscape feature is for showcasing a garden landscape or multiple plants image and tagging them where they will appear with their respective database entry. Since single plants or bloom shots are not part of a landscape, they need to added directly to the database.

It's a great site with so many wonderful features, have fun and ask any questions!

And I deleted his new proposal so we are all set!

I can relate to your confusion Michael.
Recently I posted an Epiphyllum picture in the database and was astounded that it got in the newsletter.
Previously I have posted many pics but didn't realise they had to be in the database to have a chance.
Probably the first and last time an Epiphyllum will ever get in the newsletter but at least now I can die a happy man!

Micheal, you just added your photo of Mr Lincoln to the Landscape feature again rather than finding the database entry and adding it there. I just moved it.
