What is the best way to start a cutting of an Angel wing begonia? Water or soil? This winter has almost finished off the one on my porch, and I would like to start cuttings before it gives up.

I just lop off a good size stem and stick it in potting soil. No special care needed. Here's one I did about 6 weeks ago:



The stem is a little long but that can be fixed later

Thank you! I'll try it. There is nothing left but new growth.

And I put them in a glass of water on my kitchen window sill.

I'll try both ways then...if there are enough pieces left on the poor thing.
