Thread OP
Covington, Georgia
I live in mid Covington. I planted a vitex 2 years ago. It's now about 5 ft tall. Dropped all leaves this winter and now March 2, 2019 it is all branches, no leaves. Will it leaf out and give me the fabulous flowers I see in pictures?

Chaste Tree, Vitex agnus-castus, is deciduous so it should drop its leaves in winter. Do you see any swelling buds? You can do a scratch test: scratch the bark with your fingernail or the edge of your pruning shears. If the tissue just under the bark is green, your tree is alive. If the tissue is brown or hard, the tree is dead.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost
