Love that show. Also miss a lot of the garden shows that were on HGTV a few years ago. Does anyone remember "The Gardner Guy "with Paul James. He was on hgtv for years he is on you tube from Tulsa Oklahoma. I learned so much from his shows. Also P.Allen smith on public tv every Saturday on now. Take a peek at the Gardner guy...

Frillylily and hiyall....:your .... welcome: sharing my fav gardener and famous plantsman, luv me some Paul James the gardener guy, has a great sense of humor and makes gardening fun...he has a YouTube channel very educational. I learned great gardening skills from his shows. I miss him on HGTV. Check out his Facebook and other sites.

Do you love to take virtual garden tours. I always become inspired from virtual tours and virtually come back to reality with a whole lot more ambition for new ideas and new plantings than energy. Blinking

Here's a great virtual garden tour, huge plantings, several acres. hurray: I guarantee will have you Drooling ING....

Rachel Darlington is an avid plantsperson and writer who lives in Bunclody, Co. Wexford. Her garden, Douentza, boasts large herbaceous borders, collections of carnivorous plants, orchids, trees, shrubs and so much more.I could spend days lost in this beautifully designed garden. It's 11 minutes long and Ireland's zone is very similar to the pacific NW. There are many more gardens in the US that also have virtual garden tour walks scheduled for the summer season.

If this shows enough interest maybe I should start a new thread of several VIRTUAL Garden Tours around the US.

ENJOY

Hi Y'all, Frillylily and bumplbea,

Thank you for your + reviews about the garden story.
I didn't know if there would be response for a media link inside a media link! I guess we can't get enough of garden talk and pretty plant pictures! I shared a link to Southern Gardening that is 1.5 minute videos that air on local southern tv channels

bumplbea, thanks for all the info you shared. If you think there is interest for virtual garden tours or reviews of garden shows, I will participate!

This garden site and gardeners' sights has opened my eyes to the beauty in the world!

Hiyall, Thank You! for the ex service link.

Frillylily....great garden shows with Allen T...and Monty BBC world...enjoyed Slan meets prince CHARLES segment.

Loving all the expert advice its great this time of year especially all the pics...helps get me thru cabin fever. Winter this year was exceptionally tough. I hope I haven't lost to many plants.

As far as starting a thread of virtual garden walk videos go... I think its great for winter season and year round posting for gardeners like myself can get around to much but enjoy seeing other designs, plant combos and sometime the pics are so inviting you feel like you are truly "Walking"thru each garden. I swear I can smell the flowers. I love virtual tours.

I never get tired of plants, talking about the new ones or sharing ideas and learning about gardens all over the world. I can't keep my garden up like I used too, so I miss all the spring excitement ready to plant and get dirty and all that goes with it tremendously.

I Could try and check with administration on virtual garden tours posted . This time of year may be a bit slow. Thanks for the links Have them all marked to favorites on my computer.

I'm currently watching Around the World in 80 Gardens w Monty Don, he is like the Bob Ross of gardening. I love his videos, but alas his voice puts me to sleep and I can't ever stay awake long enough to finish one! Hilarious!

Hi bumplbea and Frillylily,

I've missed our chats! Does garden.org have a forum for "professional" gardens?
I'm kinda new to this garden, though I am beginning to feel like an old-timer!

Since bumplbea shared her enjoyment of virtual garden tours, I thought of "corporate" gardens.

In Alabama, Bellingrath Gardens celebrates spring with azaleas and the holidays with lite show.

I reviewed info online about Calloway Resort and Gardens in Georgia.

Recently one of the garden.org banners said the butterfly and lantanas were photographed at the Tuscon Botanical Gardens.

So far most of the posts I've seen here seem to be from individual gardeners, who are deflinitely experts, and newcomers,, like me! I'm still amazed at pretty plant photos and knowledge shared here!

I can see where a professional garden forum can add to the existing areas. The forum could include threads for virtual tours, the media content we shared, and corporate gardens. The for-profit gardens even have stories to tell. Bellingrath Gardens started by a businessman who distributed Coke. Professional gardens could link with the sites for state and regional gardening and also with the event calendar. If people saw an event that interested them, they could look at the professional garden site to see if info, or virtual tours, are posted.

The professional gardens and virtual tours can give other people ideas for their gardens.
The site could also include info and demos for flower arranging! I have pics to post here!

I know there are glorious gardens all over the US and world-wide! Happy Spring!

Hiyall and FrillyLily..

Oh yes by all means share all gardens. There is also a virtual tour for the Amazon new home base gardens in Seattle with vertical gardens tour and so much more.

Let's include any garden treat with visual appeal. It's like being in a candy store. Some gardens from around the world are fascinating and let's fact it educational.

I like the UK The Chelsie garden design competition. These are professionals from all over the would competing for the best in show prize.
Includes the Royals .....

If you have pics of floral arrangements please post. I started a thread on floral arrangement last summer not much interest.see link below. There are three pages. Did you go to floral school? I took a few classes and learned the basics.

The thread "Let's have some fun, post your floral designs from your garden!" in Floral Design forum

Is this a good site to link the virtual garden tours?
