Hi bumplbea and Frillylily,
I've missed our chats! Does garden.org have a forum for "professional" gardens?
I'm kinda new to this garden, though I am beginning to feel like an old-timer!
Since bumplbea shared her enjoyment of virtual garden tours, I thought of "corporate" gardens.
In Alabama, Bellingrath Gardens celebrates spring with azaleas and the holidays with lite show.
I reviewed info online about Calloway Resort and Gardens in Georgia.
Recently one of the garden.org banners said the butterfly and lantanas were photographed at the Tuscon Botanical Gardens.
So far most of the posts I've seen here seem to be from individual gardeners, who are deflinitely experts, and newcomers,, like me! I'm still amazed at pretty plant photos and knowledge shared here!
I can see where a professional garden forum can add to the existing areas. The forum could include threads for virtual tours, the media content we shared, and corporate gardens. The for-profit gardens even have stories to tell. Bellingrath Gardens started by a businessman who distributed Coke. Professional gardens could link with the sites for state and regional gardening and also with the event calendar. If people saw an event that interested them, they could look at the professional garden site to see if info, or virtual tours, are posted.
The professional gardens and virtual tours can give other people ideas for their gardens.
The site could also include info and demos for flower arranging! I have pics to post here!
I know there are glorious gardens all over the US and world-wide! Happy Spring!
