In the park, I saw this plant that looks like a Holly with blue berries. Ideas?

Maybe a Mahonia aquafolium

Just a guess with no pic

Oregon Grape (Mahonia aquifolium)

The shrub has lovely lily of the valley scented flowers which then turn into the berries which birds love.

Or Berberis/ Mahonia japonica which have the long flower stalks.
or one such as Berberis/Mahonia japonica bealei
Berberis/ Mahonia aquifolium flowers are in compact bunches...hence the name Oregon grape.

Name change a complete muddle still.

Thanks to everyone for help with my plant ID.
Thanks for fixing photo link and providing plant info.

The oregon grape is the state flower of Oregon. Native people used the berries as a food source.
The plant also has medicinal properties and parts of the plant can be used as dyes.

I am amazed (though I shouldn't be surprised) at the responses from varied locations in the US and the UK!

Thank you!
