I emailed Jamie Gossard nearly a month ago about some DL's. I had a reply that Jamie was confirming availability and to be patient for a few more days. That was over two weeks ago. I emailed again on 4/5 and still haven't heard anything back.

Anyone else struggling with Heavenly Gardens? Cuz I'ma bout to just go back to the LA and spend what I've set aside for Heavenly Gardens on someone else's plants...

Jamie travels alot this time of year between Ohio and Florida. I believe he was in Florida last week. I would just give him a little more time or try to call him. I have had luck doing that.

Bob, I will practice patience. I've waited to find out about my daylily list for 28 days... What's that prayer? "Lord, grant me patience and do it now!"

I decided a few years ago that I would not order from Heavenly Gardens again because at the end they never even responded to my order requests -- plus I heard from a couple of other people that they were having a lot of trouble ordering and receiving their orders. But then a couple of years ago I discovered that they were posting their new intros on the Lily Auction under Jgossard -- and for the last two years I was able to get some beauties from them. They were a little slow in shipping and missed a couple of shipping dates, but because of the Lily Auction rules I was confident that I would at least get them -- and I did, and they sent really nice SF's. And I've been waiting to see if they post new intros this year on the LA, but so far nothing -- which is too bad because I really wanted to order SPACECOAST ALPHA WOLF and SPACECOAST OCEAN SUNRISE from them...

I wish it were otherwise, because I love some of those huge green throated beauties. But I've resigned myself that I'll just have to wait a year or two and maybe pick them up through other sellers on the Lily Auction. Sighing!

Diana I've used that prayer a time or two Hilarious! Hilarious!
Last year I ordered from Gossardseeds on the LA and it was my understanding that she goes down to Jamie's and ships from there and then takes things in pots back to Wisconsin to ship if we need later shipping. That's what she did with me. You might want to check to see if she is offering any on the LA. Forget it - she only has one listed and it's not a Gossard Whistling Whistling D'Oh! Rolling my eyes.

I sent an order and a check out in mid January. Haven't heard a word so I sent an email in late March to the effect did you get it and my order again said if they didn't receive let me know and if still available I would send money through Paypal.
On Apr 5th got a note back from Dianna that they would check and let me know. So far, zip. Could they have that many orders that they can't find mine yet Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Really wanted them so I will hang tight. I'm sure not going to spend that money again because then both will definitely come through and I am way over budget already Whistling Whistling

I bought a fair share of Gossard's intros through the LA this winter. Wish I could get the rest of my Gossard list that way...

Last year was way better. I emailed and had a reply pretty quickly. This year, my original email went out on 3/11. I heard from Dianna a few hours later, telling me that Jamie was in Florida and I would have a confirmation soon. Then, nothing, I waited until the 23rd and emailed again. Again, I heard back that day, with a note that let me know that they were going over availability and I'd hear back within a few days. Well... I emailed them again on the 5th and have heard nada. I've checked myself and concluded I wasn't rude or pushy sounding. . .

So, I'm thinking "meh. . ." Maybe another LA seller will have them at some point. Or, I'll find others! I'm sure you all would help me figure out replacements Rolling on the floor laughing

Does anyone wonder if they don't market their plants to the general public? Maybe they want their first market being to other hybridizers? Just a thought. It seems to me, that is where the money is.

If that's the case, the message is then that they're okay with buyers going to other sources and missing out on those sales... Perhaps they are at that level of success that the little guy isn't important anymore?

The way I see it, simply displaying/growing/hybridizing from an intro in our gardens is great advertising for the Hybridizer. Where ever you buy it from. And I do try to buy from the Hybridizer if possible and affordable. If not, then I feel no guilt at all in searching for that bargain. All my Gossards are from Northern Lights Daylilies. They are all great plants so far.

Perhaps phone calls are responded to quicker than emails. Have you tried phoning?

I heard complaints last year from friends who tried to order by email, but never got any response.

I ended up ordering a few on the LA instead of ordering from Gossard for this year. But if I keep seeing Northern Lights bandied about, I may have to take a gander...

All my Gossards have grown so well and the blooms haven't disappointed. I figured his operation was so hi-tech, that they would take a bit of coddling to survive in a normal garden. Boy, was I wrong! Northern Lights grows them well, but Gossard made them what they are. Just to give the devil his due, so to speak. Hilarious!

Think he likes people that buy the collection. I bought the 2015 collection , 2016 Dip collection , and 2017 double Dip collection. I got an answer back right away. One year I wanted to add plants from the discount price list and got no answer. I know other people that wanted to order from the general list and got no answer. Diana answer some of the email but the Gossard's are into so many things.

There is no shortage of people who would be happy to sell you daylilies... Why bother with people who won't give you the time of day?

Martin, some of the varieties I cannot find elsewhere yet... So, that kind of limits my options. Last year was way smoother. One email and all was settled. New experience this year...

Nikki, that's kinda ridiculous.... Confused I would have given up.
