Wow, this one would certainly stand out in the garden. I would like to see a photo of the entire plant and not just the flower spikes. I wonder what the parents are.

Update: It looks like one of the Skyscraper salvias.

Ball says this is Salvia splendens x darcyi. So far I believe them. A very impressive flowering display.

This is the video where I saw 'Roman Red' right before adding it to the database. There is a short, shaky shot of both 'Roman Red' and 'Purple & Bloom' around the 3 minute mark.

I love Roman Red even more after seeing the video. Gorgeous red flowers. Lovey dubby
I'm liking Purple & Bloom even more after seeing the video.
