I'd appreciate any help with the identification of this lovely flowering houseplant my cousin acquired recently at the CT Flower and Garden Show. Thanks in advance.

The flowers are weird but that may be the photo (two dimensional). What does a single flower look like? What does the inside of the plant look like? How big are the leaves? Maybe an African Violet relative?
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost

I'm sorry, I don't know anything else about it and have never seen this plant in person.
