Anybody got any extra Amaryllis seeds. Do not care what varieties or if crosses. Hoping for seeds from multiple parent plants.

Trades-various banana plants, blue agave, dragon fruit cuttings, sugar cane cuttings, handshake with a thank you.

Or just a straight up purchase, have PayPal and not afraid to use it.

I would love to give it a try. My greenhouse gets quite warm this time of year.

I hope they do take. Might end up with some real jems. Next year I will get mine out earlier and let the bees go to work on the flowers. Then I will have plenty of seeds. But this year I didn't get any.

Please send me a tree mail after July 20 (i'm going to a long vacation soon, friend will water all my plants during this time). Please note, this is international shipment, therefore seeds might be confiscated by customs, although I shipped several times already both seeds and even bulbs, and had no problem so far.

Many more of the seeds have swelled and should send a root out soon.

Great. You may find that a bunch will root at about the same time, then you will have some pokes that root eventually, and then there will be some not to root at all. So be patient with the slow pokes. If a seed sinks down to the bottom, it is probably done for and will not root.

I thought I would do a little update on the seeds and show how I am planting them.

Small coffee can I drilled 5 holes in the bottom. I love to repurpose items.

Filled with potting soil and I like to make a small deep hole for that root with a toothpick.

Here you can barely see the hole and the root that I need to put in it.

Thumb of 2019-08-03/Seed2Bloom/d98899

All planted. I am very gentle packing the soil around the tender root. Then I water again and again to settle the soil around the root.

And here are some I planted last week. I limit the small pot to 5 plants.
